Do you feel lately like everything you take action on in life is much more complicated than it needs to be? But, seriously…you work along side logical, industrious people who share likeminded goals, but every little thing is labored. Small inconveniences pop up at the last minute. Someone drops the ball and you or others are left to pick up the pieces. You can’t get the information you need to really move forward, but when you finally do, your deadline is yesterday? The list goes on and on of tiny frustrations that pile up into a giant wall in front of your target. This might be a moment to take a step back and analyze how you are communicating. Are you clear in what you want to be accomplished? Are you talking through all of the potential roadblocks and obstacles that might get in your way? Are you setting realistic expectations for yourself and others? Are you being fair in all dealings? It’s time to fine-tune your personal plan to accommodate the others that are involved. This weekend, spent some time charting it all out for yourself. What wrinkles can you smooth out in advance of your next steps? It really shouldn’t be this difficult, but you know that.
