Three of Swords - Reversed…
This card was pulled earlier in the day with the help of my dear friend, Zachary…but when we pulled it, it really felt like a card of the night. Oh, I just love a card of the night - when we get to take the delicious suggestion of the deck and carry it into the other world of our night time sojourn. What is the pain you are holding on to? We all have pain from past haunts that we insist on etching into our hearts, making it a part of who we are. BUT, it isn’t really a part of us - is it?!? We just can’t let go. Think about what you are holding onto that needs to be set free. Write it down in red ink on a small piece of paper just before bed. Clutch it in your hand and hold it to your heart as you drift off to sleep. In your journey to the dreamland, allow yourself to fly into the dark sky and don’t be surprised when you start to fall. Feel the wind all around you and your heart race accelerate as you descend. Pull out that sword that is lodged in your heart and watch as it takes shape, transforms into mad fire and flies away from you. As you fall away from that pain, let the lightness embrace you with euphoria. Relax as your free fall gently slows into a drift and when you hit the bottom, it will be the soft cushion of your bed. When you awake, if you have lost that piece of paper - good! If not, run to the window and hurl it out. You are done. That pain does not define you. That was someone else’s mistake.
“There is so much beauty in letting go of pain, watching scars turn into butterflies before they fly away.” - Christy Ann Martine
