Check in each day for a little bit of magic…
Card of the Day
Two Card Tuesday…
It seems you are a little hesitant to share your feelings today. You are feeling upbeat and hopeful in many ways… with a renewed sense of focus taking the lead. However, when you look back at where you are coming from and who you used to be, it makes you wonder if you are truly being authentic to yourself in the choices you are making. Mull it all over, but don’t let yourself get too sullen about it all. Life is not so black-and-white, so the truth of what you are feeling lies somewhere in-between. Your emotions fluctuate. You don’t always have to come to a resolution - you are allowed to let your emotional life exist somewhere in the middle. Ride the wave of it, at least for today….
“There is no black-and-white situation. It is all a part of life. Highs, lows, middles.” - Van Morrison
The Six of Cups (Reversed) into the Four of Cups (Reversed) from the Dreaming Way Tarot by Rome Choi.
King of Swords - Reversed…
You are a sharp thinker and you have excellent ideas, but you don’t always have to take the lead. Today is a great day to relinquish control to another person and allow them to shoulder the responsibilities which come along with it. Though you may be feeling a little bit disappointed, you should ask yourself if you truly ever wanted to be in charge in this way anyhow. I think you’ll find that there’s a reassuring sense of relief that comes with passing the buck in this situation - a kind of letting go that you didn’t know was available to you. You will still be a vital part of it - your ideas and input are respected and highly regarded. However, there are other things materializing that will need more of your attention. It’s ok to release ownership. Let go of your urge to lead the charge. You will feel immediately unburdened and, in the long run, you will see it was the right choice.

The Chariot - Reversed…
You have determination and a fiery drive bubbling underneath your skin and you are aching to ride forward . You may feel like you have to make a move and fast, but slow down for a second. Moving ahead is on the agenda and you are ready to use everything at your disposal to make it happen, but you must get even more specific about your intentions. Are you coming or going? Are you moving toward something intriguing and exciting or are you running away from a situation that is too much for you to handle?!? I know - ouch - a little tough love tarot message on a Saturday night. Sometimes, you have to run away - to flee a bad experience can provide you with the freedom you need to gain the understanding you seek. But, sometimes you need to deal with what you have been handed and find closure in order to move forward with strength and strategy. Either way this movement could be absolutely the thing you need, but stop and define it before you advance. You owe yourself that level of clarity.

The Fool…
Hey Fools - let’s throw a “Starting Over” party today! The energy needs a shift, so no time like now to make a fresh start. Rebelliously toss aside your usual ways of doing things and embrace a sense of danger. Approach your day with newness - every challenge is an adventure and every obstacle is a new chance to conquer with fierce style. Get curious about what kind of thrilling and undiscovered fun could be waiting around the corner as you move through the day. Let each step you take invite more and more possibility into your life. Shake up the world around you like you would shake it out on a dance floor. Invite all those who are intriguing to you to join your soiree and trust that all the right characters will be drawn to your new, celebratory vibes. Yes - let’s be impulsive in all the right ways!

The Four of Swords…
Tonight take a break, create some safe space and let yourself zen out. No matter what you are doing, you can find a moment to reconnect to a sense of self-protection and clear the mind of clutter. Find your sacred spot, close your eyes and imagine you are in a protected location that makes you feel calm and secure - perhaps one you have visited in the past or even one you are dreaming up now to inspire stillness. Use all of your thoughts to build a metaphoric shield around you. Connect to this imagined place with all senses and be as detailed as possible when you do. Perhaps there is someone who enters your space - someone who makes you feel protected and loved - someone you haven’t seen in sometime. Let them give you the gift that they have for you - a message, a thought, a beautiful thing you can hold and enjoy in the moment. And, in that moment, feel the love and protection that you carry with you always. When you release yourself and return to the world around you, remember that peace of mind is yours for tonight and for always, if you choose to access it.

Nine of Swords & The World…
A friendly Two-Card-Tuesday reminder from my deck… When your head feels so full of worries that you cannot sleep at night… when fear overtakes you in your mind…just remember that one day this moment of dread and doubt that you currently face will be a distant memory. When you recall this tiny blip in your life, you will chuckle to yourself as you call to mind how full of anxiety you felt when it was happening. You will recognize, with amusement, just how much you exaggerated the severity of life when you didn’t have to. You will likely also smile with pride at the manner in which you took on the most difficult challenges of this incident and moved past these scarier moments with grace and grit. When you are so much further away from this moment, you will revel in its significance, but delight at how trivial it truly was because of your own resilience.

Five of Pentacles…
We all have those moments when we feel lost and alone - those dark times when all seems hopeless and our only defense is to cover our eyes and hide from the world. What we truly need when we feel this alone is for even just one person to come along and remind us that we are not. It only takes one beautiful gesture from another to urge us to lift our face to the sun, so that we can see the light and recognize that help and better days are waiting for us there. Today, if you feel down - look up and find that person. If you feel up - be that person for someone who needs it most. Provide sanctuary just by being there…become the hope for another person in need.

Seven of Cups…
Get ready for a sugar rush - this week is going to provide you with sweet opportunities. Be careful you don’t linger in your decision making - you’ve been craving the delicious flavor of options and here they are! Don’t delay - seize those confectionary delights that are right at your fingertips. Let your heart decide which offering appeals most to your sweet tooth and grab your treat. Savor all of the rewards that come with it, but act fast, because you may be able to devour more than just one - all hold promise, so dive in and enjoy all of the choices you are making. Treat this week like a trip to the candy shop - you deserve to indulge.

Magician (Reversed) and Page of Wands…
Sometimes, in your fairy tale story, it is time to turn the page and begin a new chapter. If there is an area in your life in which you no longer feel the magic you once relied upon, it may be time to set out on a fresh, new path. Instead of dwelling over a spell that is just not working for you anymore, get curious about what exciting, new journey might be possible for you. You don’t have to know what to do, where to go or what is next - you should welcome the thrill of not knowing. It’s time to feel young and free again and embrace a more adventurous and creative approach to living. Magic can still be made, but you must move forward with fire and enthusiasm to understand what kind of magic is needed in this next, bold chapter of your story. Happy Thursday!

Knight of Cups…
Ohhhhh….I love this version of the Knight of Cups….because this charmer is SO dreamy. Sometimes we need a metaphoric Knight to come rushing in on a white horse so we can be treated to this brand of romantic idealism. If you are being love bombed today, know that you deserve it - every single cuddle, kiss, gift, gesture and promise. However, know that for someone that leads with the heart, promises are often fleeting and lasting connection can be hard to nail down. A wild, white horse cannot be tamed, but their presence is a magic and exciting gift. So, let the love hit you like a bomb, but know that once the dust settles you may find yourself with only beautiful memories of a delicious moment.

The Page of Swords (Reversed)…
You have plenty of sparkling ideas today which has you feeling enthusiastic and ready for action. But, be careful not to share them just yet. These little gems need time to gestate. If you put them out into the world right now, they will not be taken seriously. So, cradle them in your mind and nurture them until they are ready. Fuel this developing brilliance with knowledge. Let them grow full enough inside your mind that you will be able to strategize the best plan forward for them. When you are ready, you will know just how to communicate your thoughts with a full proposal that will wow everyone. You are onto something big, but give it the time it deserves and it will flourish beyond your wildest imaginings. Happy Tuesday!

King of Pentacles (Reversed)…
It’s time to examine your kingdom and take note of what you are not quite getting right in the area of finance. Perhaps you have money coming in, but as soon as it hits your hands it flies right back out? How might you better make use of what you have earned? Allocating savings or investing at least some of your income stream into the possibility for future abundance is important to the vitality of your continued life. If you are purchasing things now, be sure they are the kind of things that will be lasting and bring you joy and fulfillment for years to come. If you are spending money on activities, they should be ones that create lasting memories or provide you with sustained health and invigoration. Get serious about where your money is going. Even if you feel you don’t have a large amount coming in, you are in control of how it is allocated and the kind of return you might foster.

Six of Wands…
Today I pulled from my Golden Girls Tarot because my dear friend who gifted me the deck was coming by for a visit, so it just felt right. Sophia appeared with a truly fun message for our week ahead. The Six of Wands can signify success in your endeavors and recognition for all that you do, but often we associate our successes with career or personal goals. This week, set yourself up with a few “friend goals”! How might you step in and be a sunny champion for some of your besties?!? Think of the many ways you might surprise your favorites by going above and beyond to support their endeavors. This is certainly a fun approach to the week ahead…you may be surprised at how much this strategy will distract you from the worries you have been carrying for yourself and provide you with unique forms of personal growth. Not to mention the joy you will be providing for others (and remember - what you put out will come back to you threefold!) By the end of the week, you’re true reward may come in a rousing chorus of “Thank you for being a friend….travel down the road and back again…” This may be the best way to be celebrated!

Two of Swords…
There are thoughts that you have kept tucked away inside your mind, unexamined but protected. There they nest muted and unseen, growing under the surface of your psyche. Do you hear them from time to time, calling out to you for attention? This weekend release these ideas you have hidden away and spend sometime sifting through their potential. I think you may find deeper meaning lurking within them - strange and beautiful possibilities to be discovered. Yes, decisions will have to be made. Though you feel like you cannot see, maybe you only need to listen to their sacred song to understand what action you should take. When you tune into this mystical melody you have obscured from self and others, you may find the fog that has surrounded you will suddenly lift. Have the most beautifully revealing weekend, my dear songbirds.

Ace of Cups…
Expect a triumphantly joyful surprise today. A beautiful opportunity emerges for you that involves continued growth of emotional fulfillment! What I love most of all about the traditional rendition of all the Aces is the cloud. Let this card today be a reminder that hidden behind the swirling, grey clouds in your life, there is always extraordinary possibility waiting to be revealed to you. So, anytime life throws a shadow of doubt on your path, just wait for the magical reveal of what is actually coming your way. Today this moment will present you with potential for unfettered love. Happy Thursday!

The Sun…
No matter what the weather is doing outside, run into the middle of this week with sunshine in your heart. Let the warmth of your own energy lead the way in every scenario you encounter. Banish all sense of darkness by being the unfiltered and radiant human that you truly are. Shine your light on others, so that they may also feel the magic of infinite possibilities in your presence. True positivity and freedom of spirit comes from within. Don’t hold back - open those arms, throw your heart center forward and be the wild optimism everyone needs.

The Hierophant & The Three of Pentacles (Reversed)…
Is a current collaboration not going the way you had hoped? Perhaps you feel as though you have hit a brick wall when trying to communicate with those involved and you find yourself at a standstill wishing you could advance. Think back to when you were just learning how to approach this or any project of its nature - who did you seek advice from? Maybe it’s time for a refresher course in how to proceed. A well timed phone call to a mentor from the past could be just what you need. Can’t get in contact with that provider of knowledge? Welp, close your eyes and imagine they are sitting beside you. Really feel the awe inspiring energy of their presence and the safety of what they can provide. In your mind’s eye, ask them your question and wait for the response. What you hear back, even in your imagination will be of use. Lean on the power of your most cherished mentor to help you knock down that brick wall and propel you magically forward!

Six of Wands (Reversed)…
Life has a way of surprising you with strange and unwarranted disappointment from time to time. The worst part of fielding disappointment? It often signals to us that someone in our world should no longer be trusted. It can also point the truth out in the harshest of ways. The best part of disappointment? Having the truth revealed to you is not always fun, but you hold so much more power over your own decision making when you have all of the factual information. But, in this case, the ego has been wounded, so be extra kind with your spirit and remember that ego is different from self confidence. It could be that your ego needs a little break so that determination can rise from a more truthful place. Whatever is going on here, you need to treat your self with gentle and caring energy. You deserve more - you deserve better, but don’t get fired up too soon. Let your heart heal.

Three Cards on a Saturday…
Feeling like you are in a rut? I pulled three cards today today to gain information about how I can lift myself out of my own and I just loved the message, so I thought I would share. It’s true that in this moment you feel stuck - you know that decisions must be made, but you cannot even see what you are deciding about. It’s a defensive and confusing position to be in when you aren’t sure what part of your life needs the most focus and attention. What you truly long for are more options - exciting ones, scary ones and everything in between. Life has felt stagnant, so opportunity for ANY kind of change would do the trick, but you would like the privilege of being able to choose from many mysterious offerings. How might you get there? First, you must embrace the sunny side of who you are - a wildly optimistic outlook is the key ingredient in this recipe. You feel like you are in darkness, because you cannot see and you don’t yet have a clear vision, but the sunlight is there for you to claim! Also, how playfully vulnerable can you allow yourself to be on this adventure? It’s time to get curious about being reborn. Adjust your thinking - and welcome the unknown with delight. If you do, you will soon find yourself looking back on this moment with wonder. Happy Saturday!

Knight of Wands - Judgement…
Lately you have been thinking, “there has to be something more I can do - something with purpose and meaning - something that will make me feel fulfilled…” Good news - there IS! Sobering news - it’s not enough to just think about it. It’s time to take action if you want to make serious change in your life’s intention. I can hear you now saying, “but, I have to think about it first to know what I truly want to do…” WRONG! Sorry, but you are wrong. Take those loose ideas and set them in motion - you have to do to understand what you want to do. Take risks - fiery and gravity defying risks that will bring you closer to the core of who you were meant to be. Sound scary? I think it’s ok to be a little scared, but take action anyway. You are passionate and capable of so much…don’t settle for a life less satisfying because it’s easier to play it safe. Once you get started, you will find that you can leap over obstacles and land triumphantly in the place you were meant to be.
