Card of the Day
Ace of Wands…
The whole planet vibrates with possibility. Inspiration can be found in the smallest of moments. You don’t need a grand idea to appear to you, if you are open to the day-to-day humming of life. Don’t believe me? Take a look back at your day and recall the small bits of magic that appeared while you were just going about your life. Did a sudden view or idea make you stop and take pause? What silliness triggered laughter for you? Who made you smile unexpectedly? Maybe there was a mysterious “coincidence” that emerged for you? Perhaps a beautiful memory resurfaced at the right time? There are so many conduits of enchantment on your journey. Which will be the one to ignite your own version of prosperity and promise an eternity of euphoria?

A true leader focuses their attention on the full picture. They will do all they can to gain the widest perspective possible and make sure they have a complete understanding of what is truly at stake. Many times, this means being ready to provide to others what is needed for the success of all. They don’t view this as charity - they see it as strategy. To ensure the security and happiness of others works to your advantage when you are in charge. Examine the many ways in which you inhabit a leadership role in your life. Scrutinize your own actions based on the needs of those who surround you. Be wise by giving of yourself when it is needed most and for the specific benefit of all. Clarity of mind is important and swift action may be necessary, but don’t miss the bigger picture.

Projects take on surprising dynamics today and you might not be quite ready, but you will have to deal with it. Colorful circumstances require a steady and soft paint brush. You have the understanding of what is at hand, but maybe you should consider a more creative approach? The obvious answer may not be the solution to what you have at hand, so mix up that paint until you find the right hue. And make sure you confront this with curiosity in your heart and a positive outlook. Recognizing that you have what you need at your disposal to make beautiful strides is key to your success. Maybe optimism and belief in the resolution is what is needed most of all! Happy Monday.

The Hermit - Reversed…
You’ve done enough ruminating on who you would like to be in 2025. You know who you are and who you would like to become. It’s time to come out of hiding and take action upon all of the goals you have set for yourself this year. If you haven’t yet, set a strategy for yourself on how you will emerge from this holiday cocoon, because you will need a strong plan on how you would like to move forward with the energy you desire to share. You have a bright light - one that will draw the attention of others. The wisdom that resides within is ready to be experienced and the luck you long for will only be attracted in when you put your plan into action. So, come out of hiding and let your authentic spirit shine.

The Nine of Swords…
It makes sense that we should all start to feel a bit of anxiety this weekend as real life begins to descend upon us after the holiday season break, thus the Nine of Swords as our card for the weekend ahead. It’s important, though, that we do not let these worries overtake our spirit! These next two days are key for readying ourselves for what awaits us in 2025. While it may seem overwhelming, we must keep it all in perspective. One thing at a time is the way to restart all daily obligations, so make a list for yourself this weekend, if you really find yourself fretting. List it all out in order of importance or urgency and then it will be clear where you should start on Monday. Or maybe there is a different strategy you would like to adopt as you tackle these descending responsibilities? But, do not let them frighten you. You are in control and you deserve a little peace, quiet and self-care this weekend! All those swirling scaries - they can wait til you are ready.

Ten of Pentacles…
Life will be golden when you acquire that fortune you’ve always dreamed of, right? The Ten of Pentacles is a promising card about generational wealth and having achieved the level of abundance to ensure all you love will be able to thrive and blossom. Whenever we discuss this card in my Uncommon Goods Class, someone always points out the dog, representing loyalty, companionship and unconditional love. So you see, a lifetime fulfilled isn’t just reliant on money. In this version of the card from The After Tarot Deck, we get a different version altogether. Here you see the child and the dog playing together in the money - using it as a toy. They don’t even know the true value! So, this year, aside from money, what are you going to collect in your treasure chest to be enjoyed with those you love for years to come???

New Year’s Eve Cards…
Can you feel that strange, but exhilarating energy in the air tonight? If you are sensing what I am sensing, this shift may be a tiny bit unsettling, but in a good way. There is so much that is unknown about the year ahead, but the energy feels big - 2025 will be full of surprises. Whatever your approach, dear friends, you have ideas that will emerge in a playful way and the intuition to support yourself through all the ups and downs. Your mind will crave new and engaging knowledge and your thoughts will lift you up as you walk the tightrope of 2025. Close your eyes right as the countdown begins or just a minute before and take note of what your inner voice says to you. Remember that secret whispering when life feels strange and uncertain. Let your intuition empower you in this year of change. You may be unsure in this moment, but your mind and spirit are ready for anything the universe plans in 2025. Happy New Year!

The Four of Swords - Reversed…
For our conclusion to our “Five Days of Magic” draw, I asked, “What is the secret ingredient we will need to intensify our magic in 2025?” I specifically pulled from my StarSpinner Deck, because I wanted to invite Fairytale energy into the year. Also, this deck holds a special kind of tenderness for me, because I use it in my Uncommon Goods Tarot Experiences and it has been such a rewarding experience to share my understanding of Tarot with so many others around the world. I am grateful everyday for this opportunity and the joy it has brought into my life - and gratitude is magic, my friends! A fun response from my StarSpinner Deck (since we had the very same card yesterday, but upright). It’s clear that finding a balance between restful thought and determined action is going to be vital to our success this year. Wake up, Sleeping Beauties! Though rescuers will always be drawn to you, you cannot rely on outside help this year. It’s time to ignite your mind through self-motivation. Whatever makes you feel the most passionate, must be applied to any spell you cast. Action is everything. Don’t just believe it, DO IT. There’s a golden door of opportunities waiting for you, but you must actively walk through it. 2025 is your year to rescue yourself.

The Four of Swords…
I asked my deck today, “What will we need most in 2025 to ensure a successful year?”. The answer - the Four of Swords. Sanctuary and a place where we can go to balance our thoughts will be vital to a productive and peaceful year. Almost immediately when I pulled this card, I remembered a giant pine tree in our front yard which I would hide under during snow storms to look out upon the world from my own quiet fort, blanketed in snow. I would spend hours there playing in the snow, hidden away where no one could find me and it was truly magical. I think we all had these places when we were little - where we could sneak off and ruminate in our own tiny hidden kingdoms. Today, spend a little time remembering yours - that fort you built, the treehouse, the cupboard under the stairs or the nook in the closet. Close your eyes and find yourself there. What made you feel the most safe and protected in this spot? What did you dream about while you were there and how did this brief escape help to restore peace of mind? When you feel ready, return to the here and now and hatch a plan to “reconstruct” this sanctuary. It doesn’t have to be elaborate - just your own special spot where you can retreat for greater peace and clarity. 2025 wants you to have this.

Temperance…
On our third day of magic for the New Year ahead, let us think on what we plan to create this year. The number three is the number of creation, after all. I asked my Tarot of the Witch’s Garden Deck, how we might best go about creating newness this year and I got this luscious answer - Temperance. Bring forth an easy, but colorful way of invoking your creative spirit this season. How can you assure that you will have the time, space and harmonious energy to give life to your beautiful dreams and honor your creative longings? If you were to paint a water-color of what you dream of, what colors would you use? You will need to establish a level of balance that ensures your success this year, so give and take is key to allowing time for what you truly wish to bring into being. Tonight, get creative in a vision-board way. Can you break out the crayons, the paintbrush or simply gather images online that will inspire you? Create something tonight that you can display in your office or bedroom which will remind you everyday to make space for creativity this year. Make sure it is lush, colorful and resonates with your personal vision. Happy Friday!

Four of Wands…
On day two of our magical adventure to prepare us for 2025, I pulled from my newest deck - the Tarot of the Holy Spectrum. This is an intriguing interpretation of the Four of Wands, but it definitely spoke to me in a provoking way. When we start fresh, we are inevitably leaving behind both the good and the bad of the previous year to embrace the unknown and welcome the new energy on the horizon. What are you closing the door on as we transition into the New Year? Maybe it’s time to get specific about it, so you can truly free yourself up for majestic and colorful living? Tonight, take a small piece of paper and drawn a line down the center vertically. On the left side make a list of all the good things/people/situations you have experienced that you would like to honor as you say goodbye. On the right make a list of all the not-so-good things that you would like to release - negative beliefs/behaviours/people. Meditate on how you would like to feel as you free yourself from both good and bad and think about the room you will be creating for yourself as you walk through the metaphoric door to 2025. Take that page and roll it all up in a ball. When you are ready, toss it into the nearest garbage pail - maybe tonight, maybe on New Years Eve, maybe on New Years Day… Feel the freedom and step into your own new dynamic kingdom!

The Seven of Pentacles…
Do you want to make some magic with me? I consider the days between Christmas and New Years Eve to be quite magical, because they are full of introspection and beautiful pockets of free time in which you can play. So, I’ve decided this year, as we advance toward the New Year ahead, I’ll be drawing cards for what I have named the “Five Days of Magic”. Our magical prompt today, the Seven of Pentacles, reminds us of all the seeds we have planted in 2024 and the hard work we have put in to nurture our efforts. Some of these seeds might be only just starting to bloom and some are still gestating under the surface waiting for the right time to break through and burst into our lives! Think on the needs, wants, desires and ideas that you have already planted today. What will they bring into your world when they start to bud? How might you further support their growth? Now, tonight before bed, light a candle and make yourself a delicious cup of herbal tea - herbal to represent the pentacles which are of the earth. Perhaps you mix in specific ingredients that will add potency to your personal dreams? Or maybe just a bag of herbal tea you love and you throw in a dash of cinnamon for abundance and success? As you drink in this delicious, warming tea, repeat this thought Seven times, “I drink in motivation and resilience to help bring my efforts to fruition. I will be rewarded in 2025 for the work I have already accomplished.” Make sure you say it to yourself 7 times and be sure to believe it.

The Star…
One of my dearest and most magical friends was recently sharing how she has embraced the “Darkness of the Season”. I laughed a bit at this, because I don’t quite think about “darkness” when I think of the holiday season, but in our conversation she illuminated for me how darkness is a big part of this time of year and we should use it’s magic to our benefit. So, I pulled a card today from her deck - The Dark Wood Tarot - and I asked, “What should we bring forth from the darkness?” And the answer I received was…light! Ha! But, seriously, so much about the holiday season is darkness and light. Let your thoughts hover above you and connect with your most vulnerable emotions. Slip out of your skin and let the cool light of your spirit shine amidst the dark days of winter. The magic is you - your desires, dreams and wishes. Pull them forward as you move through these next few weeks.

Three of Wands…
As you celebrate this holiday season, give yourself the gift of seeing the possibilities that are calling to you in the distance. Yes, there is magic in this season, but let the biggest spell you conjure be the time you spend magnifying your own inner sorcery. How? Allow yourself a chance to dream. As you gaze inward, envision your own grand horizon and the beautiful potential that awaits you there. What do you see? Sunlight breaking through dark clouds and journeys yet to happen? Calming water to heal you and challenges ready to excite and accelerate your progress as you head in new directions? Take it all in and align yourself with a new path to manifest your biggest desires in 2025. This timeless time between holiday celebrations and the new year is pure enchantment. Honor yourself so you can make the most of it!

Magician (Reversed) & Queen of Wands (Reversed)…
It’s astounding how you can be surrounded by holiday glitter and glam and just feel…depleted. You may not feel the magic right now, but that is only because you are recharging internally in preparation for the new year that is coming. So, retreat within and let the fire and spark of what is to come smolder under the surface. You are quietly preparing for better things. Let’s face it - holiday lights have nothin on you. When you are ready to reign supreme with passion and sorcery blazing, you will shine brighter than any dumb old LED lights. Get ready - 2025 is going to be big for you.

Death…
Sometimes my deck has a very dark sense of humor. This morning, my partner drew the card for us and I said to him, “This is the card for the weekend, so pick a good one!” And, of course this is what my deck delivered. Though this card seems like it’s not what you want to pick as you are headed into a busy weekend, truthfully it is an excellent card. So, I didn’t throw it back. I think she’s asking us a question - What do we need to kill or destroy in order to feel alive again? And I mean metaphorically - not your ex. In a weekend full of holiday shopping and partying, it wouldn’t seem there would be such a question to ask. But, for me this is a challenge to eviscerate any crunchy or grinch-like feelings that may get in the way of a good time. Negativity must get the axe. So, what needs to go for you this weekend, my friend? Step in with your scythe to destroy it so that you can be reborn!

The Eight of Wands - Reversed…
Things are moving at a fast pace and you are certainly aiming to land in a new place, but you don’t have to ride this moment like a free-fall. In fact, the rate at which you are moving really doesn't allow for attention to detail which is sorely needed.Be kind to yourself today by slowing down just enough to enjoy the scenery or even just breathe. I know it feels like you cannot create space for this, but I assure you that if you do, you won’t regret it. Don’t miss out on the enjoyment of this journey. Let’s face it, deep down you know you will land safely, so pull back for even a few minutes. You have earned it!

The Devil…
The devil returns today to keep us from doing what truly needs to be done. Are you feeling the same level of distraction as me today? There’s so much going on and with the holidays approaching, it’s overwhelming. Also, I find myself drawn away from the important work in progress by silly diversions and things that pop up that don’t truly matter, but are hard to resist. There’s that devil - the little impish impulses that lead you astray. It’s easy to say, “practice a little self-control!” but harder to commit to it, though it’s definitely what is needed.. So, be aware of when you are being tempted off-track and bring yourself back to the task at hand.

Reversed Six of Swords - Reversed Devil…
A bit of a Tuesday wake-up call. If you feel like you are constantly moving backwards it’s because you are being thwarted by a fiery trigger. Someone or something has you in invisible chains and you cannot tear yourself away. However, strange as it sounds, this trigger may be more internal than external. Your own longing heart brings you back and back again to this trauma which is undeniably blocking your path forward. Being provoked by your own making is clearly disorienting you in so many ways. It’s time to break this cycle. If you don’t know what this trigger is, you must identify it. I think you will be startled to find it dwells deep within and that you might be your own obstacle. Don’t let this scare you, though. Let it free you - in this case you hold the solution to your own suffering.

Queen of Swords - Reversed…
Hello, Monday Funday. What has you surprised today? If nothing unusual had struck, there is still time to find yourself caught-off-guard. You might feel like you are in your element and in control, but there is so much going on that you are just not quite looking in the right direction to see what is actually on your horizon. Instead of reacting when you are suddenly stunned by that thing you just didn’t see, have a laugh and let yourself experience the weirdness of the unknown. You can and will redirect in a better way, but right now it’s easier and healthier to just give in instead of trying to maintain control.
